Production blog adding transitions and effects

In my commercial, I started working on the transitioning and effects. I picked up from arranging my photos and music. The first thing I did was choose my effect. My first effect is in the second video. It's called "fade out" This effect makes the video hazy at the end and the screen goes dark transitioning to the next. To put this effect in I clicked on "effects" and chose "video effects" to look for my effect which is located in "opening & closing". Then a purple box of the effect will appear below the video it was too long so, I adjusted it to where I wanted it to show. After doing, this I started working on the effects for my third video of my siblings and me at the beach. The effects I choose for this are "Film 2" and "zoom lens", The "Film 2" effect makes the video look like it was in a film. I did the same steps to import this effect and used this effect for only half of the clip. For the rest of the clip, I used the "zoom lens" which makes the camera move more forward on us. I finished working on the transition and moved on to my next transition for the photo of my siblings and my baby cousin. I used the effects "Retro Burst" and zoom lens" I used the effect "Burst" for the whole photo duration time it had and "zoom lens" halfway through the duration. Next, I worked on the next clip which is the same video of my siblings and me at the beach but shows a different part in the video. I decided to cut the video and showed both clips at different times so, the commercial could be more interesting to watch. The effect I used for this is "cinema" this effect makes the screen smaller. I chose it because I thought it went well with the video. This effect starts a couple of seconds after the video is being played. After this clip, there is a picture of my family. I use animation in this picture. In the beginning, it plays the transition "zoom out" for 1.0 seconds and in the end, it plays "fade out" for 0.5 seconds of the photo. To add these transitions I clicked on the photo and it showed options below it I clicked on the "animation" option and looked for a transition to use in the beginning, I found "zoom-out" in the "in" section, and for the "fade out" I found the transition in "out". Then for my next photo I used an "in" animation called "fade-in" and used a "zoom lens" Finding both of these was the same process of finding my others. For my next clip, it's a video with my friend Stella and Me. The video didn't fit the whole screen so I duplicated it three times put it as an overlay and adjusted the videos next to each other. It looks like three of the same clips are being played at the same time. To do this I clicked on both of the videos chose "overlay" and adjusted it. After I worked on my next transition which is a photo of me holding a cupcake I used the animation "fade-in" in the "in" section. Lastly, I worked on my last clip which is the same video of me and Stella but, a different part of the video. I decided to just leave the video in the middle of the screen instead, of doing an overlay like I did for the other. To conclude thank you for reading and that's what I worked on today.

Music Video

 Hi thank you for watching.

Finding music and adding it to the opening sequence

On February 28 I was finding the music to use for my opening sequence. For my opening sequence, I needed to use copyright-free music. I was able to find some on YouTube that were copyright-free by searching for them. I needed to find an upbeat and cheerful song to use for the beginning of the opening sequence when the main character is listening to music. So, the first thing I searched for was copyright-free music for pop. The song that I found and used was Royalty Free uploaded by a YouTube channel that allows them to use their music as long as you give them credit. I used the "BreakingCopyright" YouTube channel's "Crazy About You" song for the beginning of my opening sequence. Another song that I used that was able to be free was "Mystery 7 Suspense Background Music for Films & Documentaries" by the YouTube channel "LVKEHOUSE" which allows anyone to use these sounds without any copyright claims. To find the mysterious sound effects I w...

Doing a film review + adding changes to it

On March 11 I had my sister do a film review of my opening sequence. My sister reviewed it and said that she liked the beginning shot and the music chosen for the beginning of the opening sequence. However, she did make a few suggestions to change the lightning to make it have a more mysterious vibe. So, one of the first changes I made was to adjust the lighting to darker. To do this I clicked on my opening sequence went to the bottom of the options and chose "adjust". With these options, I was able to adjust my lighting to make it have a more mysterious vibe. She also suggested to increase the volume of the main character talking because she couldn't understand what she said in the opening sequence. I went into CapCut to fix these by increasing the volume on the parts where the main character is speaking. To do this I clicked on the audio of the scene where she was talking and there was an option to increase the volume so, I just adjusted the volume to higher to make su...
