CCR Part one

Hi, this is my first part of my CCR enjoy!! Script:  Hi, this is Elizabeth. Welcome to my Podcast. This is part one of my CCR. I’m going to be answering questions about my opening sequence. So, for my first question it’s How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My product  employs the convections typically found in mystery. When researching this genre the movies I used for inspiration are Oppenheimer, Murder Mystery, and Murder on the Orient Express . For all these movies they had a lot of the same shots used. For example, in all the three movies combined they used over-shoulder shots.  In my opening sequence I used this shot many times.  I really liked using this shot. I felt like it helped a lot by giving it a mysterious vibe. Because, the over shoulder helped give more context in my opening sequence when the main character would be on her phone which is what mostly all of the over shoulders were used on in my sequence. Th

Opening Sequence

Hi this is my final product of my opening sequence. I had fun making this! Hope you enjoy it.

Doing a film review + adding changes to it

On March 11 I had my sister do a film review of my opening sequence. My sister reviewed it and said that she liked the beginning shot and the music chosen for the beginning of the opening sequence. However, she did make a few suggestions to change the lightning to make it have a more mysterious vibe. So, one of the first changes I made was to adjust the lighting to darker. To do this I clicked on my opening sequence went to the bottom of the options and chose "adjust". With these options, I was able to adjust my lighting to make it have a more mysterious vibe. She also suggested to increase the volume of the main character talking because she couldn't understand what she said in the opening sequence. I went into CapCut to fix these by increasing the volume on the parts where the main character is speaking. To do this I clicked on the audio of the scene where she was talking and there was an option to increase the volume so, I just adjusted the volume to higher to make su

Adding title designs

On March 4 I continued to edit my opening sequence. On this date, I added the titles for the opening sequence. I first export my video by clicking on the arrow in the top right corner and choosing the option export. I did this so, it would be easier to add titles since, there were a lot of things already on my opening sequence I wanted to make it less busy so, there couldn't be anything in the way when adding my titles. After exporting I made a new project and imported the opening sequence. After doing this I chose the "text" option and started choosing my font, color, and size for the titles. I use my "Title Design in Details" blog to help make designs for my titles. I ended up choosing the color white. After choosing my font style and color I started to type all the credits for the opening sequence. I would make many duplicates of the font style I wanted by clicking on "duplicate" and changing the text to what the credit I was writing to. I did this

Adding transitions and overlays

On February 27 I continued to edit my opening sequence. On this day I did overlays and added transitions. I wanted to add an overlay for the scene when the main character was calling her friend on the bed. To do this I changed my own contact's name to "bestie" and made it look like I was calling someone. I took a picture of the call. Then imported the picture to CapCut. To do this I clicked on the "add photo" at the bottom of CapCut and then chose the photo I wanted. After I clicked on the photo went to the options on the bottom and chose "overlay". After choosing the overlay I dragged it to the scene where I wanted. Adjusted the size and placed it on top of my phone. Then adjusted the length of the overlay of how long I wanted to have it on the screen. This was a little bit hard to do because I hadn't done something like this before. So, to add this overlay it took about forty-five minutes or more to do. I did the same steps for the "unknown

Finding music and adding it to the opening sequence

On February 28 I was finding the music to use for my opening sequence. For my opening sequence, I needed to use copyright-free music. I was able to find some on YouTube that were copyright-free by searching for them. I needed to find an upbeat and cheerful song to use for the beginning of the opening sequence when the main character is listening to music. So, the first thing I searched for was copyright-free music for pop. The song that I found and used was Royalty Free uploaded by a YouTube channel that allows them to use their music as long as you give them credit. I used the "BreakingCopyright" YouTube channel's "Crazy About You" song for the beginning of my opening sequence. Another song that I used that was able to be free was "Mystery 7 Suspense Background Music for Films & Documentaries" by the YouTube channel "LVKEHOUSE" which allows anyone to use these sounds without any copyright claims. To find the mysterious sound effects I w
