 The technology I learned to use was a software editing app called "capcut." This app allowed me to put my photos and clips together to make my commercial. I downloaded this app from my iPhone at the app store. I never used an editing app before so, it was a little bit confusing to use. I found this app by asking my teacher for recommendations. My teacher recommended using a capcut because it's good for beginners and simple to use. It was my first time using capcut but I would say I was able to figure things out on my own. Even though it did take some time, I never done a project like this before. This app helped me advance my technology skills by learning to create and put things together. What I learned from this process of putting a project together is the steps, the amount of time, and the materials you need to make it.  Hello, welcome back today I worked on finishing my All About Me Commercial. I just have a few finishing touches to do and clean up the editing a little. In my last production blog, I left off from adding effects and transitions. Now I decided to add text to my commercial. In the first photo, I added a text saying "All about Me Commercial". To do this I clicked on the "add text."  Typed in the "Enter text..." 'All About Me Commercial'. The font I chose was "Modern". I then wanted an effect on my text. To do this, I went to "Animation" which is shown when you click on the text it gives many options for what you want to do to the text. The animation I chose was "Type 1" I found it in the "in" tab of "animation." The duration of the text starts halfway through the first photo and ends halfway through the second clip of my siblings and me at the swings. The next text I added was in my second video of my

In my commercial, I started working on the transitioning and effects. I picked up from arranging my photos and music. The first thing I did was choose my effect. My first effect is in the second video. It's called "fade out" This effect makes the video hazy at the end and the screen goes dark transitioning to the next. To put this effect in I clicked on "effects" and chose "video effects" to look for my effect which is located in "opening & closing". Then a purple box of the effect will appear below the video it was too long so, I adjusted it to where I wanted it to show. After doing, this I started working on the effects for my third video of my siblings and me at the beach. The effects I choose for this are "Film 2" and "zoom lens", The "Film 2" effect makes the video look like it was in a film. I continue to work on my All About Me Commercial. I left off by cutting down my videos to make them shorter. Next, I worked on the music. Both songs that I chose were about three minutes long. So, I wanted to make them shorter and make them blend when one song is transitioning to the next. To do this I used the white line to split the songs. I chose specific parts of the songs that I liked best. Each song that I chose gets 30 seconds. The first 30 seconds of the commercial is ditto by newjeans being the background music. I kept the beginning of the song. However, I didn’t like how the rest of it went so, I chose another part of the song I liked and put it with the beginning. To do this I used the white line and moved it to the end of what I wanted to keep. I chose “spilled” and it cut the audio into two different files. Next, I chose the part I wanted which is in the middle of the song I use the white like to cut at the beginning of the song and when it ends. This would create my own a

I started to begin working on my All About Me commercial. I'm really excited to work on it because it's my first time making a commercial. The first thing I did was look for an editing app. There were many to choose from so, this process took a while. Many of them looked hard to use. I asked my teacher which one and she recommended capcut. I never used capcut before so, it was an interesting experience. When I got into the app it was a little bit confusing. I figured it out and made a project on there. I named it "AICE Media Studies All About Me commercial." I chose the videos and the photos I already planned to use. I needed to add the music. This was hard for me because I didn't know how to get the music. I asked my sister and she told me I had to download it. I downloaded both of my songs and imported them into capcut. I started to work on cutting my videos to show the parts I wanted to use. I did this for all of my videos because most of them were too long and

 The process of choosing my photos, videos, and songs, for my commercial was hard. It was a hard process because it took me a while to pick the photos and I didn't have much photo's so I had to ask my mom to send me photos. Which took awhile. I choose the photos I did because I really liked these photos as some of them showed me in places I traveled to that I enjoyed. In one of the photo's I am in Italy and the other one I'm in Ukraine. I also wanted to show my family because there are really important to me.  And then I chose the one of me eating a cupcake because I really liked that photo of me and also I made those cupcakes with my mom. For my videos, I chose one of me and my siblings and one with my friend. I chose these because I thought it was a special moment with me and my siblings.  Hi, my name is Elizabeth Ehney. I go to Fort Lauderdale High School. I'm 15 years old in grade 10 and the classes I'm taking this year are AP human geography, AICE English language, Algebra 2, Chemistry, AICE psychology, AICE European history, and AICE media studies. I'm really excited about my classes this year because, they seem really fun and interesting to learn about so, I'm looking forward to seeing what is coming. Something to know about me is that I take school seriously it is one of my main priorities that I work hard for. As long as I'm doing my best I don't worry about my grades because I know it's something that I gave my all towards. A few things that I like are swimming, clothes, hanging out with my friends, and watching TV shows. I started learning how to swim the strokes last year in October I was taking lessons then, in November I joined a swim team. However, I ended up taking a break in March for a couple of months.
