Production Blog adjusting the music and arranging the photos/videos

I continue to work on my All About Me Commercial. I left off by cutting down my videos to make them shorter. Next, I worked on the music. Both songs that I chose were about three minutes long. So, I wanted to make them shorter and make them blend when one song is transitioning to the next. To do this I used the white line to split the songs. I chose specific parts of the songs that I liked best. Each song that I chose gets 30 seconds. The first 30 seconds of the commercial is ditto by newjeans being the background music. I kept the beginning of the song. However, I didn’t like how the rest of it went so, I chose another part of the song I liked and put it with the beginning. To do this I used the white line and moved it to the end of what I wanted to keep. I chose “spilled” and it cut the audio into two different files. Next, I chose the part I wanted which is in the middle of the song I use the white like to cut at the beginning of the song and when it ends. This would create my own audio file for the part I want. I deleted the rest that I didn’t use. And put that part I wanted after the beginning audio file. The part of the song I chose went well with each other so, it didn’t clash with each other when the part after the beginning was being played. After finishing my first song I started to work on my second song. My second song which is the last 30 seconds of my commercial is called Charimastic by Hailey Knox. I wanted it to transition well with newjeans Ditto song, so i looked through the song until I found the part I wanted. After finding the part I did the same process with my first song: cutting and shortening the audio to my part. To make the songs fade well with each other I used the “fade” feature and chose “fade-in” to make the songs flow. This would allow for both of the songs to go well with each other. I finished my music parts. I then started to work on placing my videos and photos. This process took a while because I wasn’t sure which video or photo should be set during the commercial. I ended up choosing a video to start with my commercial. I used many different videos but I broke them apart because I didn’t want it to be boring watching the same thing for two minutes.  That is what I did for the commercial. Thank you for reading and bye.

Group Blog

For this project, I'm going to be working by myself. However, my sister will help me with the filming part. My sister's name is Natalie. I chose her to help me film because it would make the opening sequence better. I wanted to work by myself on this project because I felt like I could make a good opening sequence by myself and with the help of my sister. I could do a better job being by myself because I don't have to stress on relying on others if they did their part and I'm able to have total control of making something that I want to do. My sister and I are different so, for this opening sequence, she can help or contribute a few suggestions to make this a good opening sequence. I can use Natalie because she is my sister we both take this class but, in different periods. Since I'm her sister I know what her work ethics are like. And I can trust her that she will help me with making the opening sequence. For this project, my sister is going to help me with the fi...

Adding transitions and overlays

On February 27 I continued to edit my opening sequence. On this day I did overlays and added transitions. I wanted to add an overlay for the scene when the main character was calling her friend on the bed. To do this I changed my own contact's name to "bestie" and made it look like I was calling someone. I took a picture of the call. Then imported the picture to CapCut. To do this I clicked on the "add photo" at the bottom of CapCut and then chose the photo I wanted. After I clicked on the photo went to the options on the bottom and chose "overlay". After choosing the overlay I dragged it to the scene where I wanted. Adjusted the size and placed it on top of my phone. Then adjusted the length of the overlay of how long I wanted to have it on the screen. This was a little bit hard to do because I hadn't done something like this before. So, to add this overlay it took about forty-five minutes or more to do. I did the same steps for the "unknown...
