Production Blog: Making final edits.

I continued to finish editing on where I left on. I'm working on the next scene where the girl keeps checking her phone for a message from her ex. But, ends up throwing it on the floor because, he hasn't answered her all day. For this scene I use the fade-in effect. To do this I went to "effects" and chose the "fade-in effect". After, I use the fade-out effect after she threw the phone on the floor. To do this I clicked on the scene. Then went to "effects" and choose "fade-out". The next scene is an over-shoulder and pan shot of her at the river reading the letter the girl ex boyfriend wrote for her. For this scene it started with the effect "fade-in". I decided not use ay transitions for the next of her throwing away the letter in the trash can. This is because, I thought it look good already without it since, this scene had a low angel. I felt that it was able to convey the message through this low angel so, I left it how it was. The next scene is an establishing shot of Publix. This scene is supposed to represent the girl moving on from her boyfriend. The transitions I used is "fade-in" for the beginning shot when she walks into Publix and out with flowers. Then a "zoom" effect in the scene with a middle-shot of her holding flowers. To do this I clicked on the scene. Went to "transitions" and choose "zoom effect". Then at the end of this scene I used the "fade-out" effect to transition to the next scene. The next scene is the last scene of the girl at her desk writing a letter that's for new beginnings. The effect I used for this is scene is called "cross dissolve". I used this effect as it transitions from the scene her leaving her desk to is a zoom effect of a text message on her phone from her ex. To do this at the end of the scene she leaves her desk I put the "cross dissolve" effect by clicking on the scene. Going to effects and choose "cross-dissolve". The for the last scene of the phone I choose the zoom effect by doing the same steps for the "cross-dissolve" effect expect choosing "zoom". That was the last thing I needed to do for the music video making it complete. Thank you for reading and bye.

Adding transitions and overlays

On February 27 I continued to edit my opening sequence. On this day I did overlays and added transitions. I wanted to add an overlay for the scene when the main character was calling her friend on the bed. To do this I changed my own contact's name to "bestie" and made it look like I was calling someone. I took a picture of the call. Then imported the picture to CapCut. To do this I clicked on the "add photo" at the bottom of CapCut and then chose the photo I wanted. After I clicked on the photo went to the options on the bottom and chose "overlay". After choosing the overlay I dragged it to the scene where I wanted. Adjusted the size and placed it on top of my phone. Then adjusted the length of the overlay of how long I wanted to have it on the screen. This was a little bit hard to do because I hadn't done something like this before. So, to add this overlay it took about forty-five minutes or more to do. I did the same steps for the "unknown...

Finding music and adding it to the opening sequence

On February 28 I was finding the music to use for my opening sequence. For my opening sequence, I needed to use copyright-free music. I was able to find some on YouTube that were copyright-free by searching for them. I needed to find an upbeat and cheerful song to use for the beginning of the opening sequence when the main character is listening to music. So, the first thing I searched for was copyright-free music for pop. The song that I found and used was Royalty Free uploaded by a YouTube channel that allows them to use their music as long as you give them credit. I used the "BreakingCopyright" YouTube channel's "Crazy About You" song for the beginning of my opening sequence. Another song that I used that was able to be free was "Mystery 7 Suspense Background Music for Films & Documentaries" by the YouTube channel "LVKEHOUSE" which allows anyone to use these sounds without any copyright claims. To find the mysterious sound effects I w...
