Filming at my house

I started filming on January 29 as I planned on my schedule. The first place being filmed is at my house. I'm filming the beginning scenes of the opening sequence. I first filmed an establishing shot before doing the acting scenes. This was easy to film. I stood outside of my house using my iPhone x and filmed an establishing shot of my house. After, I began filming the first scene which takes place in the bedroom. I'm the actor in the opening sequence so, my sister is filming the shots for me while I act. The first thing I did for acting was laying on my bed and pretending to read a book. After doing the shot which took five minutes. I moved to the next one where I checked my phone because I was getting a call. I answered the call but, I had to stand still because this scene had an over-shoulder shot. After those shots were being filmed, I did a dialogue of me talking to someone on the phone. This took a couple tries to do because I kept messing up the script. This was the hardest that had to be filmed on this day because, when recording the conversation on the phone the audio wouldn't get picked up, so, I had to keep redoing it many times until I could hear the conversation on the phone. This took around 35 minutes or more to do. Next time I should have just done a voice-over when editing it to make it easier and make the audio clearer. That was all that I did for filming on this day. It took about an hour and thirty minutes to get all these shots. I started at three pm and ended at four thirty-six pm. Thank you for reading see you in the next blog bye!

Group Blog

For this project, I'm going to be working by myself. However, my sister will help me with the filming part. My sister's name is Natalie. I chose her to help me film because it would make the opening sequence better. I wanted to work by myself on this project because I felt like I could make a good opening sequence by myself and with the help of my sister. I could do a better job being by myself because I don't have to stress on relying on others if they did their part and I'm able to have total control of making something that I want to do. My sister and I are different so, for this opening sequence, she can help or contribute a few suggestions to make this a good opening sequence. I can use Natalie because she is my sister we both take this class but, in different periods. Since I'm her sister I know what her work ethics are like. And I can trust her that she will help me with making the opening sequence. For this project, my sister is going to help me with the fi...

Adding transitions and overlays

On February 27 I continued to edit my opening sequence. On this day I did overlays and added transitions. I wanted to add an overlay for the scene when the main character was calling her friend on the bed. To do this I changed my own contact's name to "bestie" and made it look like I was calling someone. I took a picture of the call. Then imported the picture to CapCut. To do this I clicked on the "add photo" at the bottom of CapCut and then chose the photo I wanted. After I clicked on the photo went to the options on the bottom and chose "overlay". After choosing the overlay I dragged it to the scene where I wanted. Adjusted the size and placed it on top of my phone. Then adjusted the length of the overlay of how long I wanted to have it on the screen. This was a little bit hard to do because I hadn't done something like this before. So, to add this overlay it took about forty-five minutes or more to do. I did the same steps for the "unknown...
